the CHALLENGE
For decades, the Hispanic Family Center (HFC) had been a trusted source of support and care. But as the organization grew in scope, reach, and services, its name and identity no longer reflected the diversity of the people it served or the holistic approach it provided. The name “Hispanic Family Center” felt limiting and, at times, isolating, particularly for non-Hispanic families who might have hesitated to seek services.
HFC needed a refreshed brand that would open doors to greater community inclusion, future growth, expanded partnerships, and increased funding, all without losing its powerful legacy and the trust it had earned over decades.
OUR APPROACH
We kicked off the project by listening deeply, through interviews and surveys with HFC leadership, staff, and board members. These conversations helped surface core values, internal perceptions, and long-term aspirations. We also conducted a competitive and complementary analysis of similar organizations to understand how HFC could better position itself in the evolving nonprofit landscape.
The rebrand needed to strike a balance: honor the acronym “HFC” while modernizing the name, message, and design. Healthy Families & Communities emerged as a name that balanced familiarity and growth while speaking directly to HFC’s heart, mission, and evolving service model. We then crafted inclusive messaging, a warm visual identity, and storytelling tools that reflect the organization’s role as a connector, advocate, and trusted resource for diverse communities.
We supported HFC in bringing the new brand to life across digital and physical touchpoints. The new website was built with accessibility, clarity, and usability in mind. We provided staff onboarding materials, templates, and guidance to ensure confident internal adoption and consistent external rollout. The launch positioned HFC for deeper engagement, broader visibility, and long-term impact.
NEW LOGO
We designed a logo that embodies Healthy Families & Communities’ mission of unity, support, and uplifting those they serve. At its heart are interconnected human figures, stylized, abstract, and diverse, gathered within a radiant symbol that evokes warmth, connection, and collective strength. The vibrant color palette reflects the energy, inclusivity, and optimism at the core of HFC’s work, while the soft, flowing forms express care, safety, and belonging. Radiating lines suggest growth, light, and forward motion, echoing the organization’s role as a guiding force in people’s lives. Every detail was crafted with intention, creating a joyful yet professional identity that welcomes all families and communities into the HFC story.
NEW WEBSITE
The brand and website design for Healthy Families & Communities were created to feel welcoming, inclusive, and empowering. We wanted visitors, whether clients, community partners, or supporters, to immediately see the organization’s commitment to care, growth, and accessibility. Through clean design, intuitive navigation, and bilingual messaging, the site now reflects HFC’s holistic approach while reinforcing trust, dignity, and connection at every touchpoint.



NEW MESSAGING
The messaging for Healthy Families & Communities was carefully developed to express the organization’s revitalized mission with clarity, warmth, and inclusivity. We worked to ensure every word reflected HFC’s values of empowerment, diversity, and trust, while moving beyond the limitations of its former identity. The result is a voice that is authentic, compassionate, and forward-looking, positioning HFC as both a trusted resource and a beacon of possibility.
