Case study overview

Partnering with Discover Bank to fund technology upgrades at a no cost community credit union serving low income families in Wilmington.
Stepping Stones Community Federal Credit Union serves low income communities in Wilmington at no cost. With a $1M grant from Discover, we helped translate capital into member facing tools: a debit card program, a social banking app, and the infrastructure to sustain both.
The Challenge
Members of a free, community rooted credit union lacked the everyday banking tools customers of larger banks take for granted.
Members Served
Thousands of low income families relying on the credit union.
Tech Gap
No debit card, no mobile app, no digital money movement.
Resource Limits
A no cost model with little room for capital investment.
Our Partnership Model
Discover provided the grant. We translated it into infrastructure, product, and member adoption.
